At Whitefish Christian Academy it is a joy to learn.

Academy students learn to read and reason well, to speak and write articulately, to live virtuously - and to love learning.

To make that happen, the Academy prioritizes these distinctives:

A rigorous, Christ-centered classical educational approach,

Small and intimate class sizes,

Exceptional Faculty & Staff,

And an embrace of our place in beautiful Whitefish, Montana.

Our Educational Approach: Classical & Christian

A classical Christian education begins with Aristotle’s assertion that “to educate the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.”

At Whitefish Christian Academy our educational model therefore seeks to form the whole child in mind, body and soul, to cultivate wise and virtuous young men and women who contribute meaningfully to their local and global communities. An Academy graduate in turn reads widely, thinks deeply, communicates thoughtfully and lives nobly for God and man.

And while the focus is on who our children become, our classical Christian education yields top-class test scores, too. An Academy graduate achieves higher SAT and ACT results* than his peers, and more importantly, is well positioned for success in both life and work.

Our Commitment: Small Class Sizes

It’s little wonder that many of the best writers and thinkers learned in small, intimate class or tutorial settings.

Small class sizes allow for closer and more effective attention from the teacher, and foster deeper, richer relationships with peers.

The average Teacher-to-Student Ratio at Whitefish Christian Academy is 15:1, among the smallest in the Flathead Valley.

Our Team: Exceptional Faculty & Staff

The Academy has a longstanding tradition of great teaching. That teaching tradition continues strong today: We consider our faculty the very best in the Rocky Mountain West.

Good teaching is essential to mastery in reading, writing, mathematics, or any given subject. At Whitefish Christian Academy mastery is made possible first and foremost because our teachers are masters in their fields.

Mastery is never stagnant, though. Academy teachers are lifelong learners. It’s only in that way that they instill a true love for learning in our students.

The results are clear: Because our teachers have joy in what they teach, our students find joy in what they learn.

Our Place: Beautiful Whitefish, Montana

Whitefish Christian Academy is located in a uniquely beautiful setting here in the Flathead Valley, Montana, and incorporates that beautiful setting into its course of study.

In our Science and Nature Studies programs students explore the diverse ecology of stunning national treasures like Glacier National Park and read well known poems like those by Robert Frost and William Wordsworth in local spaces such as Swift Creek Trail and Les Mason State Park.

In our Horsemanship program at Lost Creek Ranch students learn to ride and care for horses, and in that way become intimately acquainted with one of Montana’s most integral pastimes.

And in our local community, students partake in enduring Academy traditions like those of Shield-A-Badge for our Whitefish Police Department and Valentine Cheer for our local nursing home, which has been an Academy mainstay for a very long time.
